Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale – photos and description

Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale in Katowice is an interactive space that combines education with entertainment. As the name suggests, it is inspired by the works of Jan Brzechwa. Covering an area of over 1,400 m², it features several different thematic zones. In each of them, you’ll find different activities, puzzles, and experiments. This place is dedicated to both children and adults. At Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale, you will spend time not only creatively but also enjoyably. Your well-being will be taken care of by animators, who are ready to offer advice and assistance. Their names, just like in Mr. Kleks’ academy in the book, start with the letter “A.” Now, let’s take a look at each of the thematic zones…
The Last Nature Reserve
In The Last Nature Reserve, you will be greeted by none other than Ambroży Kleks himself. The famous professor will tell you a bit about the Fairy Tale, and then he will entrust you with several important tasks to complete. Among other things, he will ask you to find three mysterious objects. Will you manage to fulfill his wish? If you apply yourself to the task and show cleverness and attentiveness, the mission will surely end in success.
PS Before meeting Professor Ambroży, we recommend reading “Mr. Kleks’ Academy.” During the meeting, he will ask you questions that will deepen your immersion in his magical world. For each correct answer, a small reward awaits – a colorful freckle, symbolizing wisdom. We hope you collect as many as possible!
The Land of Mateusz the Starling
In the colorful Land of Mateusz the Starling, guests of Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale will have the task of finding the first lost item. It won’t be easy, as there are countless things here, and the abundance of colors might give you vertigo. However, if you activate your powers of observation, you’ll surely spot the sought-after “treasure.” Additionally, in the Land of Mateusz the Starling, creative and interactive tasks await you. It’s going to be exciting!
Mr. Kleks’ Kitchen
A visit to Mr. Kleks’ Kitchen is a great opportunity to learn the secrets and tricks of this exceptional chef. Don’t worry, there won’t be any glass marbles soaked in green liquid that the professor used to eat. Instead, there will be Agnieszka (one of many), who will prepare colorful sandwiches with the guests. They’ll be quite original, as they’ll be sweet – made from bread, vanilla cheese, and fruits. The more colors and shapes on the slice, the better. Thanks to this culinary fun, the youngest will develop creativity and learn the basics of healthy eating.
Dog’s Paradise
Dog’s Paradise in “Mr. Kleks’ Academy” is a place where dogs went after death. It was located “on one of the distant stars.” The pets lived there happily ever after. Isn’t that a beautiful vision for their owners? Dog’s Paradise in Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale, on the other hand, is a zone where the youngest guests can play carefree and without limits. And their guardians – as shown in the picture above – have the sacred right to enjoy peaceful relaxation during this time. Doesn’t that sound idyllic, angelic, and heavenly?
The Kingdom of Bajdocja
Does anyone know what Bajdocja was? If you don’t remember, we’ll be happy to remind you. It was a land inhabited by storytellers, with the Great Storyteller at the helm. They could create incredible tales, but unfortunately, they couldn’t write them down. That’s because their land lacked black ink. In Bajdocja – a zone designed for lovers of sea adventures – one of the three sought-after items by Ambroży Kleks is hidden. Be sure to try to find it. In the meantime, enjoy the attractions of this extraordinary land – we were most charmed by fishing for fish with a magnetic rod, which brought back memories of carefree childhood days.
Planet Fantasy
“On the planet called Fantasy, all the children laugh together. For fun, happiness, and joy, every day is colored with hope. There, childhood has a fairy-tale color, and adventure is already waiting behind the door. Fantastic, curious, thinking, are the holidays far away, under the stars” – this is the charming song recorded for the needs of “Mr. Kleks’ Academy”. In the zone called Planet Fantasy, interactive games in the Solar System await you. Learning through play? We think it’s fantastic!
The Robot Junkyard
The Robot Junkyard is a zone located in the furthest, darkest corner of Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale. No wonder! Professor Ambroży placed here terrifying robots – enemies of ecology. Meeting them will be a valuable lesson in environmental protection for all guests. Warning, the Junkyard is not a pleasant and colorful place like the rest of the Fairy Tale – younger children may get a little scared, so it’s worth managing their emotions. When leaving the zone of unfriendly Robots, don’t forget to take a souvenir photo with the Great Elektronik – the eternal enemy of Mr. Kleks.
Abecja – the Underwater World of Queen Aba
Abecja is the youngest zone in Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale. Your journey into the Underwater World of Queen Aba begins with a dive in a bathyscaphe. After watching a short video, interactive games and tasks focused on ecology and environmental protection await you. The best part is that throughout the underwater adventure, Queen Aba herself will accompany you, eagerly participating in all activities. Great fun in Abecja is guaranteed, including: an interactive coral reef, a climbing wall, a giant slide, arcade machines, and many more.
Food Stalls / Coffee Shops
If you’re in the mood for a delicious drink or a small snack, you don’t even have to leave Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale for a moment. Near The Last Nature Reserve, you’ll find the colorful Café Meluzyna. The second food stall (Na Kutrze) is located in the Underwater World of Queen Aba. Both are very pleasant and cozy. Enjoy your meal!

Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale in Katowice – interesting facts & tips
- Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale is mainly dedicated to children aged 5 to 12 (preschool and school-age). But if you’re older, don’t worry! Feel free to visit the Fairy Tale — neither Ambroży, nor Aba, nor Agnieszka and Adasie will give you any disapproving looks. On the contrary, they’ll do everything they can to make you feel like kids again.
- You’ll explore Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale in socks, so make sure to bring a spare pair. There’s an option to cover your shoes on-site, but we bet you don’t want to disappoint Queen Aba by neglecting the environment!
- Remember, Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale isn’t a playground where you leave your kids with animators while you go off for coffee or shopping. Professor Ambroży wouldn’t approve of such behavior. Here, everyone has fun together, focusing on cooperation and spending quality time on activities as a group.
- While searching for the three missing objects on Professor Kleks’ mission, be on the lookout for hints placed in visible spots. These clues will be very helpful in finding the hidden treasures.
- You can also organize a birthday party for your little one at Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale, complete with an animator, snacks, and creative activities.
- Nearby, at the Porcelain Factory, you’ll find Poland’s first immersive film center called Kleks. Magic of Cinema (in Polish it is: Kleks. Magia Kina). You’ll have the chance to discover the secrets of movie production, and even see original costumes, props, and sets from the latest adaptation of “Mr. Kleks Acadamy”, directed by Maciej Kawulski. We haven’t visited it yet, but we definitely plan to in the future!

Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale – Katowice – opinions / reviews
- Patrix – 10/10. Definitely the best place for children in Katowice. The youngest ones will be given a task to find missing items. It’s not easy, it requires some thinking, but guarantees a lot of fun. Is it worth it? Absolutely. It doesn’t matter if you’ve seen the movie, if you like it, or not. This place is all about having fun, and knowing the book is not required (though it will definitely add some flavor). I recommend it.
- Wiolczix – 9/10. It’s a wonderfully designed place, beautifully decorated and equipped. It’s like a modern playroom where you can have a great time and learn something (of course, through play). Everything in Mr. Kleks’ Fairy Tale is so colorful. For kids, this must be a real paradise. But even adults who remember Mr. Kleks from school will have a blast here searching for the mysterious, lost objects. (We checked, and we guarantee it will be fun.) And now, the most important thing: special congratulations (and a nice monthly reward, hopefully;) go to the amazing staff here, without whom the adventure wouldn’t be as attractive. Every one of them was totally involved in the fun, helping both kids and adults, solving any problems, and encouraging everyone to take part in all activities. Seriously, great animators who aren’t bored with life and smile at the guests are the biggest treasure. And none of them discriminated against us because of our age. 🙂 I totally recommend this place.
