Free outdoor cinema in Warsaw 2023 – reviews
- Patrix – 7/10. Super cool initiative. The repertoire is very nice, because it is fresh and good films. The only downside is the average image quality – 4K is certainly not here. To be precise – it’s not bad image quality, it’s ok to watch, but as a video creator, I pay a lot of attention to that.
- Wiolczix – 7/10. I love a good cinema, summer evenings and fresh air. Outdoor screenings are a perfect combination of all three things. What more could I want?
Free outdoor cinema in Warsaw – frequently asked questions
Where is an open-air cinema in Warsaw?
Outdoor cinemas in Warsaw can be found mainly in large city parks. Sometimes they are also organized by larger pubs, restaurants or hotels. The most frequently visited outdoor cinemas include the following ones: at Kinoteka (PKiN), at Pole Mokotowskie (Lolek pub), in the Royal Łazienki Park, in the Saxon Garden, in the Five Sisters Park (Chono Lulu), at Kopa Cwila (Ursynów district) and in the Praski Park.
Is there a fee for an outdoor cinema?
As a rule, outdoor cinema screenings are free. Although you don’t have to pay for them and there are no admission tickets, it is a nice gesture to order food or a drink from the organizer (provided it is a pub or restaurant) in return for the opportunity to watch the film.
What to take to an outdoor cinema?
We can tell you from experience that it is worth taking warmer clothes to an outdoor cinema. The sessions usually start after dark, so even though the temperature is high during the day, it gets chilly at night. If the organizer does not provide the opportunity to buy snacks, take something to drink or munch with you. In addition, it is always worth taking a good mood with you.
How much does it cost to organize an outdoor cinema?
Organizing an outdoor cinema in your own garden can be free – provided you have a projector and a white wall. 🙂 On the other hand, a professional outdoor cinema costs about PLN 5-7 thousand. The price depends on the quality of the repertoire, type of screen, projection equipment, service, number of rented deckchairs and promotional and marketing activities.
