He likes beer, and she dreams of a SPA getaway? Or maybe it’s the other way around: he loves hot bubble baths, and she prefers foam on a beer? Here’s a solution that will satisfy (even conflicting) interests of many couples. How about a beer bath in a wooden tub with unlimited tasting? We’ve already tried it, now it’s your turn.
There are plenty of attractions waiting for you in the Silesian Voivodeship. You must see them!
Beer SPA Sosnowiec – photos
The Beer SPA Sosnowiec is located in a place where barrels of the beer should be stored, that is… in the cellar. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a smiling and energetic receptionist. Right at the doorstep, before the bath, she offered us a tasting (very kind of her). She then went to a “hidden” room behind sliding wooden doors to prepare our special bath.
After a few minutes, the receptionist covered a section of the cellar with a dark curtain. This separated the spa room, the fridge, and the toilet from the rest of the waiting area. This created an intimate zone that no one should enter. It provided us with enough privacy, and we assume it should for you as well. That’s all for the organizational matters, now let’s move on to the actual part of the beer ritual.
When we entered the spa room, two wooden tubs immediately caught our eyes. The tubs were handmade in the country that is the “kingdom of saunas,” Finland. We used the bath as a couple, so one tub was prepared for us. But don’t worry, there’s enough space for a couple—even if the tubs may seem a bit small from the outside. Just a quick shower to cleanse the skin before the ritual, and then it’s time to jump into the wooden tub filled with foam.
What exactly does a beer bath look like? If you think someone pours several hundred bottles of alcohol into the tub and heats it up, we have to disappoint you. 😉 The bath is prepared with the addition of an oil made from natural beer, rich in hops, barley malt, and yeast. This bath not only relaxes but also has numerous health benefits. Hops have antiseptic properties and soothe skin irritation. Barley provides B vitamins. Beer yeast regenerates and moisturizes, leaving the skin soft and smooth.
A long bath will quickly work on your entire body – it will relax your muscles, improve circulation, and reduce tension. The feeling of relaxation will be enhanced by the beautiful scents of burning incense and dried rose petals. A fairytale! During the session, you’ll have plenty of time to admire the original decor of the beer spa. There are certain elements we like (the presence of wooden elements, the solidly crafted tubs, the large mirror), but there are also things we would remove (an excess of mismatched trinkets). But decorations are a matter of taste, and taste is not to be debated.
During the entire session, a fridge filled to the brim with craft beer bottles is at your disposal. The event sponsor is Bytów Kaszubian Brewery. 😉 We didn’t count exactly how many types of beer we could try, but there were at least a dozen. Patryk liked the Amber (Bursztynowe) the most, while Wiolczi preferred the Wheat with Coriander (Pszeniczne z kolendrą). The Spicy (Korzenne) and Melon (Melonowe) ones also had interesting notes. Of course, we didn’t try everything, so now it’s your turn. Remember not to overdo it with the alcohol – after all, the beer spa is meant to bring you health benefits, not a hangover.
Don’t forget to leave the tub about 15-20 minutes before the planned end of the session. Waiting for you is a rest on a special bed covered with straw. It has the atmosphere of spending summer holidays at grandma’s in the countryside. This “rustic ritual” is meant to enhance the relaxation effect, calm the body, and strengthen the nervous system. All positives. Our visit to the beer spa is proof that a love for beer can also have positive effects on the body. Beer lovers – unite and hurry to Sosnowiec for a bath session. Cheers!

Beer SPA Sosnowiec – Opinions / Reviews
- Patrix – 8/10. The beer bath was very enjoyable. Immersing myself in aromatic beer oil in a wooden tub made me feel completely relaxed. The water was very hot, and the selection of beers was extensive. Everyone will surely find their favorite flavor here. The interior is styled like a barn (there are even milk churns!). When I lay down on the hay, I felt truly soothed. I really liked it. So why not a 10/10? Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bathroom left much to be desired. The advertisements within the spa itself also felt unnecessary.
- Wiolczix – 6/10. To be honest in my assessment: the idea of a beer spa in Sosnowiec is great, but not everything went perfectly with the execution. Let me explain my feelings step by step. The entrance to the Beer SPA in Sosnowiec is not very inviting – the buildings around are worn down, and the surroundings are rather depressing. The first impression is weak, but of course, it’s not the owners’ fault how the city looks. So, I wasn’t discouraged by that. Right after entering, we go downstairs to the basement. The reception is quite dark and cold. As we mentioned above, Receptionist greets us kindly and politely, so big plus for the service. A moment later, we enter the actual spa room. The tubs seem small, but there is actually plenty of space for two people. The bath – nicely prepared. The water – perfectly warm (even very warm). The foam – quite substantial. The selection of beer – very wide (although I was hoping for draft beer rather than bottled, but it’s still fine). The straw relaxation – creates a nice atmosphere. The background music – very atmospheric. However, cleanliness is a basic requirement in a spa for me. And here’s a big minus. While the room with the tubs was okay, the bathroom (toilets and shower) was in a bad state during our visit. Something was broken here, something wasn’t working there, some spots were chipped, and there was a little dirt. I wouldn’t want to use this bathroom again. It would be worth eliminating the “characteristic basement smell” throughout the facility. Overall, I would also unify the decorations (it’s supposed to be romantic, but it’s a bit kitschy, though that’s a matter of taste; maybe others like it). And those annoying ads displayed on the TV throughout the entire session, which slightly ruin the atmosphere (maybe I’m being picky, but I didn’t like them). Overall, though, don’t be discouraged – we have a few downsides here, but the beer bath itself and the atmosphere during the session are incredibly pleasant. Despite some shortcomings, I fully recommend this experience to you – definitely go with a partner or a larger group.
